The Victims Support Fund (VSF) on Wednesday launched its peace building
project in Damaturu, Yobe, to promote peaceful coexistence among
communities in the North-East.

North-East over the years and we will continue to do that to achieve
lasting peace.
“We have been dealing with economic, educational, health and security
components; this peace initiative will bring back the confidence lost in
the minds of the people,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the project brought
together stakeholders from religious and traditional institutions,
politicians, security, the civil service, the youth and the media to
promote and strengthen peace in the communities.
The stakeholders assured to work together to sustain the peace and
security achieved across the state for socio-economic growth of the
people, region and country.
Ustaz Hudu Mohammed, an Islamic cleric, who represented Muslim faithful,
